An iBOX is the core of an hydrometeorological monitoring station. It combines data acquisition, data transmission and power management in a ready-to-be-deployed cabinet for outdoor installation.

The electric cabinet housing (for either wall ort post mounting) of the iBOX includes an iRIS data logger, suitable power supply, surge protection, antenna, screw terminations and cable glands. The whole concept makes it very easy to deploy an iRIS data logger for any kind of monitoring application.

Flexibility for many Applications

An iBOX is a solution-specific product bundle that can be adapted in many ways to your requirements and application needs.

Available choices include:

• Data logger: iRIS 270, iRIS UnderCover or iRIS 350FX
• Power supply: available options include solar or mains power, rechargeable backup battery
• Electric cabinet: 400 x 300 x 150 mm thermoelectric cabinet with keylock, rain canopy and pressure valve (metal cases and other dimensions available on request)
• Sensor connection: screw-termination block or pre-cabled connectors
• Battery holders for either 7.2 Ah or 12 Ah 12 VDC SLA battery (battery not included)
• Brackets for either wall or pole mounting

A typical configuration consits of:

• iRIS 350FX data logger
• Omnidirectional small-scale helical antenna
• Solar powered complete with solar panel, battery charger, fuse, room for 12VDC/7.2Ah SLA battery
• Screw terminations for simple sensor connection
• Outdoor housing complete with rain canopy, pressure valve, cable glands, key lock
• Pre-mounted on metal gear plate
